Trust and safety

Safe money. Safe meetups.

Every opportunity is paid for before work starts, people verify who they are, and in-person jobs come with tools to stay safe. Here's how it works.

How we protect people and payments

  • Protected payments

The reward is held when the opportunity is posted and released only when the work is approved, or 72 hours after proof with no response.

  • Identity checks

Every hunter sets up payouts with Stripe before taking an opportunity, and in-person jobs also need a verified government ID (Stripe Identity). Posters verify their ID to post rewards of $250 or more.

  • Contact details stay hidden

Phone numbers, emails and payment handles are hidden in chat. Keeping the deal in the app keeps it protected.

  • Approximate locations

Public listings show an area, not an address. The exact spot is shared only with the hunter on the job.

  • Safety toolkit

On in-person jobs: share a live status link with a friend, call emergency services in one tap, and send an urgent report to our team.

  • Report and block

Report an opportunity, a person or a message. Blocking stops messages right away, and people review every report.

What's not allowed

Opportunities are screened before they go live. Some go to a person for review, and some can't be posted at all.

No illegal goods or services; no weapons, drugs or hazardous materials; no adult services; no harassment, surveillance or tracking of private people; no academic dishonesty, fake reviews or impersonation; no unlicensed trade work; and no gambling. The full list is in the Community Guidelines and Prohibited opportunities.

If something goes wrong

  • In an emergency, call 911 first. Then send an urgent report from the opportunity so our team can follow up.
  • The work isn't right? Report a problem before you approve it. The hunter has 48 hours to fix it or refund you. How problems are handled
  • Someone made you uncomfortable? Report and block them.
  • Anything else: contact support. A person reads every message.
