The short version

  • We want everyone to be able to post, hunt and get paid on netWork, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, magnification or other assistive technology.
  • We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on our website.
  • If something gets in your way, tell us at [to be completed] or through the contact form at /help/contact. We will help you finish what you were doing and work on a fix.

1. Our commitment

[to be completed] is committed to making the Service accessible. We consider accessibility when we design and build features, and we test with keyboards, screen readers and browser zoom.

2. What we have done

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard. Focus is always visible, and a Skip to content link is the first thing on each page.
  • Dialogs, such as confirming a payment or reporting a problem, keep keyboard focus inside them, close with the Escape key and return you to where you were.
  • Text and controls meet WCAG AA color contrast, and the layout works when you zoom to 200%.
  • Animations stop or are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion, and rotating content can be paused.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives. The map of opportunities has a text list of the same opportunities for screen reader users.
  • Form fields have labels, errors are announced, and important updates such as a payment or a sent message are announced as status messages.

3. Known limitations

  • Photos that users upload to opportunities may not have a description beyond the opportunity title.
  • Map tiles come from a third-party provider and are not fully accessible. Use the list view, which shows the same opportunities.
  • Payment, identity and payout steps run on pages provided by our payment and identity partners. We choose partners that publish accessibility commitments, but we do not control those pages.
  • Our mobile apps are reviewed separately and may differ from the website.

4. How we check

We assess the website ourselves, using automated checks and manual testing with assistive technology. We have not yet had an independent audit. This statement was last reviewed on Draft.

5. Feedback and help

If you have trouble using any part of netWork, or you need information in a different format, contact us. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and the assistive technology you use, if any. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
